Yep. We seem to have long since passed the point of diminishing returns on
this conversation. In the interests of clarity, I've tried to be responsive
to a number of variations on the same argument, but now that I've gotten a
whiff of how the Word 2000 UI handles this, I don't think there's anything
new to be learned.

(For example, I happen to be mildly curious about how the "inner" close box
behaves when there's more than one document or view open, but knowing the
answer won't change anything for me.)

If there are any doubts about what my position on this issue is, feel free
to ask specific questions. Otherwise, I'm ready to move on.

PS: I know we've had longer design threads on this list in the past, but
somehow this one seems particularly exhausting. Is it just me?
