In gtk, both methods are supported, but because in the current fire()
mechanism of AW all functions return void, I did not use the "return
false" method.

I don't have much time today, and I'm away for the weekend, I won't be
able to help you beyond the patch that I mailed to this list a couple
of days ago (include here once again). It is just a small change to
the current UT_Timer mechanism, but have a look at the changes to see
how the idle queue is handled in gtk.

I think we can work something out, but it will have to wait until
monday (for me anyway). If we can make it work, there may also be
other uses for an idle queue.

Cheers,
Ben.
