I agree too. Regarding this bug though, we can't release a RH 7.1 rpm that
requires 90% of RH users to modify their xconfig files. This might be RH's
fault be we we have to work around it in a seemless way.

If there is no other clever work around we should revert to the previous
behaviour.

I'll make this revision by changing Tomas #if 1 => #if 0 and uncommenting
the code in the wrapper script. Feel free to come up with a clever
fix. I'll keep my stock RH X config file to test said clever solutions.
