HTML importer where?

I was under the impression somebody had an HTML
importer under way. I just downloaded 1.01 for
Windows but can't open HTML documents. XHTML seem
to work. Is the HTML importer too unstable or is
it only available as a plugin, if so where can I
download a Windows version of it? I can't compile
here. Sorry for asking but I looked on the website
and bugzilla and couldn't really find an answer.
