Just to let everyone know that I'm currently refactoring the status bar to use native
widgets. I
should have this work finished by sometime later this week (have to sort out some
messaging issues,
and add a progress bar field..)

The design (based on the listener model) is very clean and it shouldn't be too difficult
to port
this over to
other platforms. I'll post instructions on how to do so once I'm finished.
