Or if you don't want to keep reloading AbiWord for a big run you can use
the abicommand plugin...

AbiWord --plugin abicommand

and have a command line tool to load/reload/print/import/export and edit
documents.

There is some example code for how you drive remote abiword process using
the abicommand plugin with a simple C interface in our SDK.
