Embedded objects size patch

Hi,

I already communicate aboutt embedded objects size problems. I could
find out how it is possible to avoid resizing objects which are can't
be. May I commit attached patch?
The object size API might change when I'll write the gnumeric component
plugin (starting very soon now).
