We won't be committing new features like this to the AbiWord 2.4
branch, as they are closed for everything other than urgent bug fixes.
However, it can probably be included in both HEAD and the 2.6 branch,
which we're hoping to release in the next month or two.

Would you like this to be a patch to the AbiWord 2.4 series, or would
it be sufficient that this got committed to the next stable (i.e. 2.6)
branch?

What's your time frame for this?
Are you printing to a physical printer, or to (say) a PDF or PS file, or both?
What platform(s) are you using AbiWord on (Linux, Windows, etc.)?
What are your acceptance criteria?
