Okay, ladies and gents, I think I've *finally* got the home page of the
re-designed site where I want it, terms of aesthetics and information.
What do you guys think of this?
(...that's actually a screenshot of iWork, ironically -- I need to get a
good-looking AbiWord screenshot)
In news of more concrete things, I'm feeling more confident about the
'pure PHP' solution for this incarnation of the site. What will be
updated the most will probably be the 'updates'(news on releases)
sections for AbiWord and sub-projects, and that can be done by editing
the PHP files directly. Assuming we keep only, say, 10 entries in the
latest updates section, older entries will need to basically be cut and
paste into an archives page, which could be enriched later.
Assuming we're okay with the design(backwards process I know, to focus
on perfecting the design first, but bear with me), I'll need to further
familiarize myself the translation process and then build a directory
structure and template code around that.
And like I mentioned, if anyone has a 'rich' looking AbiWord, please share.
