Subject: Finding .abw files

Hi,
I'm using abiword and find it a very functional word
processor with one minor complaint.
I've made a folder to save my documents to and have saved
documents there. However, every time I go to save a document
or retrieve a document abiword always looks on the desktop
first. Every other program I use can remember where it last
found/saved a file.
Can I fix this or is this a bug to be fixed later?
