OK. Lots of people replied with the same suggestions.
1) Insert -> Symbol.
2) AltGr + punctuation mark.
The problem is that neither of these works for me. I have red hat
6.2 and helix gnome 1.4. I have an old-style 101-key keyboard.
Insert->Symbol indeed brings up a symbol font, but that font
doesn't have any accented vowels in it.
I take it that AltGr is one of the gray Alt keys. Alt+punctuation
mark doesn't give me an accented vowel either. (I am using
XFree86 4.0.0, if that helps anyone figure this problem out.)
Can anyone help me?
