I'm still having trouble with fonts and starting AbiWord....
I tried the solution suggested below and it worked great (see the reply
just below). However, I had to restart my machine (I'm running a laptop)
and when I booted back up, AbiWord crashed again, stating that it could
find the fonts.dir in the abisuite/fonts directory, but that there were no
fonts. I checked the directory, and the fonts were there. I then checked
fonts.dir in the directory, and it was empty!
So, why is fonts.dir empty, and how do I prevent this from happening again
(assuming I can get this to recover) when I have to shutdown/restart when
going from home to work?
Thanks much, Cullen
