I submitted this bug back in the pre-1.0 days and it was resolved with
Abiword 1.0.4. I seem to recall there being a problem with the level at
which the keyboard was being scanned - so Alt+number pad was getting the
same response as Alt+numbers on main keyboard. Fortunately this is no
longer a problem (it was preventing me adding any characters with
accents, and there are many of them in Welsh and Gaelic).
