I recently downloaded AbiWord-1.1.4-2, which I am running on RH 8.0. I
have had two problems and would appreciate help.
1) The "save" icon and "save" option from the pull-down "File" list are
disabled. I can only save documents using "save as," which makes it
difficult to keep saving texts that I am editing.
How do I enable "save"?
2) The bigger problem--the default page setup fixes the paper size at 10
by 10 inches. When I try to change the paper size to "letter," AbiWord
does not remember the change.
How do I get AbiWord to change the default paper size to "Letter"?
If I could resolve these issues by downloading a later version, I would
be happy to, but I have so far found no rpm that I could use on RH 8.0.
I would like to learn how to compile a version from source, but, right
now, I would need a lot of help to do it.
