Dear All,
Glad to have found a free font providing a complete set
of combining marks and precomposed latin, and even
IPA characters:
http://www.io.com/~hmiller/lang/
But testing it with AbiWord (2.0.1) on W2K
was disappointing. It seems that combining marks
only produce troubles (cursor movement not matching
display) and it seems that it is not really possible
to use them in AbiWord.
That tempted me into testing Thai, which has combining
vowels, tone marks and all the fun stuff. Gives the
same and even more dramatic misbehaviour (tested
with Code 2000 font).
Are only we Win32-sufferers affected and you can use
AbiWord for Thai on Linux?
Best Regards,
Peter Jacobi
B.T.W.: Thanks again to all who helped me with
Unicode character entry. After further searching
I'm now using (via cut+paste):
