    Thanks Dom!

    Your suggestion has sorted it.

The $lang was set to en-GB, but on investigation, I have found that with
Libranet there was only one "normal.awt" file (with no language settings) and
not one for all the languages. So I took the easy way out and replaced it
with the SuSE "normal.awt-en-GB" file which I renamed to "normal.awt".

It all works now, and "colour" is no longer spelt "color"!!!.

For information, I am running 1.99.2 on SuSE, with very good results. So now I
will experiment with running 1.99.2 on Libranet.

    Many thanks for your help

    Keith
