I'm compling with problems right now. I'm running RedHat 9 with
gcc 3.2. What compiler are you using?
You might want to try
make realclean
Then configure again. I have not tried the --enable-extra-optimization
flag.
Just a word of warning, printing on gtk-only builds is rather broken right
now.
