    Dear Alan,
Many thanks to have taken my wish in your hands and explained
to your friends who, and it is not a surprise for me, have many
problems to understand me because of my poor english. (An if
you hear me to speak... it's a pity!)
Effectively I think that the possibility to have a specific directory
open at the opening of AbiWord would be a great thing.
    I try to explain:
A word processor is always used at a dominant percentage by
an user for a specific work. For example, a student will use AW
especially to write his lessons; a writer will use it, at more than
50%, to write her novels or texts for his readers; and a man like
me will use AW especially for letters, as an example.
If the user has his AW directly IN the directory where he puts his
records, he will have an using more simple of his wordprocessor.
And the choice of that specific directory could be offered as an
    option. Is it understandable?
    Thanks to be patient!...
    Amicalement,
    Bernard Lambey
