I Just used AbiWord-cvs to load it. It works fine. All 740 pages get
loaded in about 30 seconds on my dual 1.7 Ghz, 512 MegaBytes DELL
running RH 9. It consumes 160 MegaBytes of Memory.

AbiWord -cvs actually performs very well. Selecting/cutting/pasting text
all feels much the same as with much smaller documents. Apart from the
    memory consumption I'm quite pleased.

I think that if you want to use WYSIWYG Word processors on big documents
you really need lots of memory. Otherwise, use emacs and latex :-)

    Cheers!
