Specifically, the single bug that is holding back the
win32 release is this one:

It's not worth testing or confirming - we know it
exists, and we're waiting for some of our win32
developers to fix the problem. If you know how to code
in C/C++, you could probably be of some help. We have
a general idea where the bug is in terms of both code
and logic.
You can (and perhaps) should use the win32 nightly
builds. They should be quite stable at this point. The
above bug does not cause dataloss or anything else
that's really bad. It just occasionally causes some
drawing errors on screen.
