Well, libgsf compiles for Windows if you have glib development
environment available, and glib can be compiled for Windows
(though I only use the prebuilt binaries as it looks too fun
to compile). And libgsf based plugins do compile more-or-less.
The OpenOffice importers are not tested particularly well.
However, I do test (as much as I test anything) the Word Perfect
importer, which is based on the same libgsf/glib files. So the
gsf/glib base is functional, but I do not claim it to be stable
    nor fully work on Windows.

Please verify you (the reporter) are using the proper glib dlls
(the ones matching the plugins). With AbiWord 2.0.3 these were
updated, so if you have the AbiWord 2.0.2/2.0.1 version of these
plugins installed, you should probably upgrade the glib dlls as
well. Alternatively, you could try the AbiWord 2.0.1/2.0.2
OpenOffice importer and glib dlls with AbiWord 2.0.3, and see if
they work better for you. For earlier releases they are in the
    GIE (glib/gsf importer/exporter) plugin set.

Please file a bug report (if you haven't already) and include
a sample document that fails so one of the other developers
who support/like glib on Windows (and glib based code) can look
    into the issue.

    Jeremy
