question concerning fonts in abiword 2.0.2

    greetings to everyone,

    i'm using ps-fonts-families with more types than the usual
    roman/italic/bold/bold-italic (i.e. light or oldstyle figures). my
    problem is, that abiword doesn't show me more than standard
    roman/italic/bold/bold-italic while internally mixing up roman with
    oldsyle-figures.
    the funny thing is, that gnome recognises the different weights/styles
    and displays them in the font-configuration-window in desktop preferences,
    which means that it
    should not be the problem of fontconfig.

    any idea how to solve the problem (other than delete the different
    weights/styles)?
