Thanks---this is useful to know. However, can I ask what exactly is
needed from Gnome to compile a Gnome build of Abiword? I couldn't
discover this from the Abiword web site, but I may have missed it. I
would like to install only the minimum from Gnome that is necessary to
compile (and run) a Gnome build of Abiword. (I'm using an older machine
with more limited disk space.)
Also, may I ask if anyone has experience in running the Windows build of
Abiword under Wine on Linux? It would probably be too good to be true if
it worked well, but I'm curious if anyone has had a positive experience
in this respect.
