I'm glad that you're a happy customer :)

Sure. AbiWord development has several different
concurrent "branches."
One branch is called "HEAD" or "UNSTABLE". This is our
latest and greatest work. This is where most
development happens, where new features are added, and
where your bug was likely fixed. After we developers
have added enough new features and fixed enough bugs,
HEAD will become STABLE, and then a new HEAD emerges.
HEAD represents the AbiWord 2.1.x releases.
Eventually, HEAD will become STABLE AbiWord 2.2.0.
One branch is called "STABLE", which represents a
stable and relatively bug-free snapshot of our source
tree. This branch is in maintainence mode, and only
recieves bug fixes. This represents our 2.0.x series.
"Back porting" is the process of taking a bug fix from
HEAD and applying it to STABLE. "Forward porting" is
the process of taking a bug fix from STABLE and
applying it to HEAD.

Unfortunately, we don't do that because it's less easy
for me and for those who would look in on my account
ledgers. Your interest is appreciated, though.
Best regards,
Dom
