spellcheck under mandrake 10.0

Hello,
Recently several people reported problems with spellchecking under
mandrake 10.0. I didn't know why it happened then, but now I do.

When running enchant-lsmod it lists the available plugins:
$ enchant-lsmod
aspell: 'Aspell Provider' (/usr/lib/enchant/libenchant_aspell.so)
myspell: 'Myspell Provider' (/usr/lib/enchant/libenchant_myspell.so)
ispell: 'Ispell Provider' (/usr/lib/enchant/libenchant_ispell.so)

Apparently enchant links to the .so files, which were packaged in the
devel package libenchant1-devel. So a quick fix would be to install that
package:
# urpmi libenchant1-devel

This problem also exists in mandrake 10.1 community, but will be fixed
in 10.1 official. Sorry for the trouble.
