Admittedly the LaTeX exporter needs work.

I like to use to use the LaTeX exporter combined with pdflatex to generate
PDF files which include proper hyperlinks so for a long time I have wanted
to help improve the exporter but I have not yet done so myself.

There are cool features like Table of Contents which could be translated
to LaTeX and I'm sure there are plenty of other features too. At the very
least bug reports tracking all these improvements would be helpful and
help make sure we dont accidentally forget anything.
