AbiWord version 2.41 on Windows 2000 equation editor question

Hi,

I have just installed AbiWord 2.41 on a Windows 2000 machine. I have read
the User's Manual and the FAQ, but I have not been able to find out how to
start the equation editor. I have tried googling "AbiWord equation editor
example", but I have not had luck in finding out how to do this. Some of
the sites suggest something like Insert=>Equation Editor=>LaTeX, but I
don't see this on the Insert menu. I also see some references to
AbiMathViewer, but I cannot seem to locate this either.

I used the Typical installation on the installer executable that I
downloaded from http://www.abisource.com/download. That is,
"abiword-setup-2.4.1.exe". Am I missing a plugin?

I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction. Thanks for your
attention to this matter.
