We don't support this. Nor do I think we ever should. Here is a very
simple solution involving the file browser .

1. Open document to be deleted in abiword.
2. Click select - all from "edit" menu item.
3. Press backspace. All text is deleted now.
4. Now click "new document" fiel the "file" menu.
5. Close the deleted document window.
6. Locate the file with the file browser. Right click, choose move to
trash.

All gone.

Or since you don't need to be Abiword to do any of this.

1. Locate the document in the file browser.
2. Right click chaoose, move to trash. (or just drag it to the trash
can).
