Table Jump Bug

Irregularly and not yet pinned down to a simple test case, I am suffering
 from (what could be called) selection point jumps in a multi-page table.
For example, trying to position the selection point (cursor) on page 2 of
the table causes the displayed table to jump back to page 1 with the
selection point somewhere on that page. Pages 3 and 4 of the table behave
normally.

Sometimes a document 'under construction' exhibits this problem and
sometimes not. I have found one case where a table preceded by nine
paragraph (enter) characters exhibited the problem whereas with eight,
there was no problem.

I have seen the problem with 2.2.7 on XP and 2.2.8 on W98SE.

Can anyone recognise this as being covered by an existing bug report or is
it a new one? I have briefly searched Bugzilla without finding anything
similar but this could well be due to my not using the correct keywords!
