GTK+ 2.10 will have an integrated printing system and
we'll use that when the time comes.
Otherwise, the benefits of using GnomePrint are
enormous:
*) Uniformity and expressiveness of the user interface
*) Less complex code
*) More maintainable code
*) Fewer bugs
*) More useful features
*) When it breaks, it's largely someone else's problem
Drawbacks:
*) Someone doesn't want a 5MB gnome library on their
200GB hard disk.
And I'm not willing to accept that. If the Nokia 770
can deal with it, so can you.
Besides, a proper installation of GTK+ needs those
icon themes anyway...
