Re: Autopackage forthcoming?

Yeah, I use Gentoo (www.gentoo.org). So I just "emerge -Dav abiword"
and that' it. It calculates and installs all of the dependencies,
creates the user groups, updates what needs updating.

What Linux distro are you using Mark? You mention being a "hapless
newbie" so I suspect you are using a packaged Linux distribution (like
SUSE or DEBIAN or KNOPPIX or GENTOO or UBUNTU). It is likely that they
offer Abiword in a friendly format.

Let us know, someone will have an answer for you. Abiword is ubiquitous
enough that I suspect that every distro has a package prepared.
