faint hope : .jpeg to .txt or .abw??

         My daughter found a card that interests me, and grabbed a
jpeg image of it -- which is pretty fuzzy, and barely readable. It
would be nice to be able to print the text in a suitable format,
such as 3x5 cards, or paper bookmarks meant to go in a book. I
suppose I could retype it, with AbiWord open on one desktop and the
jpeg on another; but I'm lazy -- and some scan-&-convert program
just barely might exist somewhere. Anybody know?
