Table feature: Sorting Rows?

I am looking for a feature that I have seen in at least two other Word processors: I would like to sort the rows of a table and it should be possible to select the column that contains the sort criteria (ideally, you could choose several columns as hierarchical sort keys, where the table content is, for example, first sorted according to what's in column 2, then what's in column 1, etc.) Additionally, it should be possible to exclude the first row from sorting because it contains the headings.

I have looked up and down the menus, but I just cannot find it. As I consider this a rather basic feature, it may well be that I am overlooking something. Please let me know. If it is not there, I would like to suggest it ... Thanks.
