Forwarding to the list, it is useful to make sure these questions and
answers are archived. No need for anyone else to try and answer the
question and having things archived increases the chances of users finding
the answers themselves using a search engine.

Okay that works too but I was trying to fix the real cause of the message.

Also I tried Normal.awt method which is relatively compared to the FAQ
method. Find and then open the file Normal.awt, normally found under
Abisuite/templates/normal.awt

Then go to Tools, Language... and set the default language to a language
you do have a dictionary for and use regularly (or no language at all).
Make sure to tick the checkbox "Make this the default langauge for this
document" (or words to that effect). Hit save and close the Normal.awt
and from then on any new documents should start off in your preferred
language so you wont even get asked about the English spellchecker unless
you deliberately choose to mark text as English.

Thanks for telling us about Personal Computer World featuring Abiword in
their magazine. The freedom of the GPL means people are not required to
ask permission before sharing Abiword but we do love to hear about these
things.
