New user first run problems

Hi :-)

I just installed abiword on DesktopBSD, via the built in package manager. The
install went fine and abiword opened as expected. However, the moment I hit
the first key to type the first character into a new document, the entire
program immediately closes. I suspect this is a bug but I thought I'd check
here first in case it's a known issue.

This is version 2.4.6 btw, which I believe is the latest stable version.
