Document loses underlining when saved as ODT

I'm running Abiword 2.4.6 on Linux. I recently
created a document with a couple lines underlined.
The underlining is saved when I save as a .doc or pdf.
 However when I save as a .odt, it loses the
underlining and also shifts the text of a line that
should have had underlining.

Is this a bug, or just incomplete ODF support?
