Mail Merge

Trying to follow Mail Merge instructions from the AbiWord help site,
using Windows XP and AbiWord 2.4.
Under "Creating the document template", "Help" says to "run AbiWord
with the -m argument, via the command prompt,run dialog,or shell prompt."
I don't know what a shell prompt is, but have tried command and run,
but Windows says "it can't find AbiWord " when I try "run", and
"AbiWord-2.4 is not a recognizeable command" at command
prompt. (Perhaps Microsoft wants me to use Word ??)

The instructions seem to be written for AblWord 2.0. Are they
different for 2.4 ?

Any help on this question will be appreciated.
