Location of "Recent files" list in Windows version

I would like to know the location of the "Recent Files" list in the Windows port (I am using Vista if this makes any difference) so that I can clear out this information.

Bonus points for anyone who can tell me how to turn this feature off altogether.

Steps I have taken to try to find out where the list is hidden include searching the registry for "abiword", looking under AppData: (Local, LocalLow, Roaming), searching Google, and tearing my hair out.
