Using XML and Mailmerge

Hi,

In the documentation it describes the way to use CSV files to mail-merge
with a template document. It also mentions that it is possible to use
XML as the source for Mailmerge data.

Can someone tell me where this feature is documented, or tell me how it
can be used?

I am particularly interested in using multi-line formatted text in the
mailmerge file that can be included in the template document without the
formatting being destroyed.
