Can I run Linux Abiword under X11 on Mac?

Greetings:

I'm just fishing for hope here, but since Mac Abiword is moribund and
primitive, is there anyway to run Linux Abiword under X11 on my Mac like
NeoOffice used to do? If so, please provide step by step instructions
because I'm not a techie.
