No, there are things like equations (with itex, mathml, and included
preview snapshots), native image file storage, and so on that work best
in the abw format. (It's a nearly direct mapping from how the document
is stored internally, and so is the most reliable for repeated document
load/edit/save cycles.) I'm not sure exactly which features are not
round-tripped to/from rtf, but I do know that it's best to use the abw
format while you are working on the document. If you need to share, the
"Save Copy As" feature can let you save an RTF export while keeping the
ABW original open.
