A few months ago, someone posted that they were having problems
compiling abiword on IRIX. I'm having these same problems. Does anyone
know how to fix this and get the source to compile?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
---- Quote from Bob Monaghan ----
My current problem is to now have the application linkable. The code is
compiled into object files, but the linker "yaks" because it can't
find some system object files. For instance, the linker is looking for a
file in the following path: /usr/lib32/mips3/nonshared/crt1.o
This is fine, except that there is no such directory as "nonshared". I
search the SGI developer docs for a "nonshared" directory, and, as
far as I can tell, it doesn't exist. I am at a loss.. Perhaps the
application is looking for a "static" set of object files. I will try to
rebuild abi
word as a "dynamically linked" application.
