Hi Tomas,
When I first read your message I almost volenteered to start on
footnotes right away. But upon reflection I think it would be best for us
to get 1.0 out of the way as soon as possible.
Why? Well the by far the number 1 thing people want us to have are tables.
I think I know how to do these. I'm sure I could implement a lot of other
cool features too, but Tables are what most people need most from us and
frankly, it is the lack of tables that mostly has me running back to Word.
All the official forms I have to deal with a work seem to have these and
abi just doesn't do them anything like right.
So the next major feature I implement will be tables. However I'm fairly
confident that implementing these will make abi unusable for a while so
I'd rather put these off till post 1.0.
So I'd like to stick to the idea of a soft feature freeze post 0.9.5
followed by agressive bug fixing to get 1.0 out by Christmas if
possible.
Cheers
Martin
