GTK2.6 instead of GTK2.4?

Since people on irc expressed the need to require libgnomeprint >= 2.10
for AbiWord 2.4, what would be a good reason to NOT depend on GTK2.6 ?

Around 0.0001% of the people with libgnomeprint 2.10 installed, will
only have GTK2.4 installed.
