Sorry Marc,
           For some reason I do not remember seeing this post.

1. Create a numbered list with 3 items.

 1. one
 2. two
 3. three
2. Place caret right after the list-item of the second element (so not
after list-item-TAB combination).

 1. one
 2.| two
 3. three

3. Press Backspace. You get this.

 1. one
      two
 3. three

After the patch you get this, which is what is wanted.

 1. one
      two
 2. three
