Hi everyone,
There have questions raised on the IRC whether the timetable that we
agreed earlier for 2.4, with the tree being tagged on Jun 17, is
achievable in the light of bugzilla. I would like to suggest that we
push hard till the end of May on the assumption that we will stick to
that timetable and then review it. By the end of May we should have
extra feedback from the 2.3.0 release and should be in position to make
a realistic judgement on the state of affairs and how long it will take
to fix up the things that need to be fixed for 2.4.
If the timetable is unrealistic, there is no point pretending we are
working to it, we will simply agree a more realistic one. I do think,
however, that it is important that we have a timetable, so that everyone
knows what is happening and why, and also so that we can individually
plan ahead.
