This is my final proposal, it incorporates some more feedback (from
sum1, Reinouts, Martin ...).

The button right of the styles combo opens the styles dialog. The font
menu is stolen from the gimp, maybe we can simplify it a bit by
removing the scrollbars and buttons at the bottom.
Two issues remain:
+ Can we get along without left/center/right/justify in the toolbar?
Maybe with the introduction of shortcuts?
+ I'm tempted to remove the Underline button as this is said to be a
relic from typewriter days (it would of course still be available from
the "Format -> Font" dialog).

Still pondering whether to have only the "advanced" version, not sure
how to best switch between the two. What do people think?
