    Can't remember if it was in the mission statement for Abiword or for
    OpenOffice.org - it may have been OOo - but one of the points raised was
    that it was important to still provide office applications to (32-bit)
    versions of Windows that M$ have given up supporting. For example,
    anything less than Win2K-SP3 (IIRC) can't run the latest version of M$
    Office - fine, except I know of people who still use (and are perfectly
    happy with) Win95 and Win98.

    We shouldn't accept something is obsolete because Redmond tells us it
    is, only when we know it's not suitable for doing a given task. My P120
    laptop at home runs Win95 and Abiword works perfectly on it, and I'm
    pleased about that!
