    CVS is likely to be slightly more stable than emerge because things are
    getting more stable by the day in the run up to 2.0

    I was merely pointing out the compiling either from emerge or from CVS is
    inevitabley the more difficult option.

    Maybe if that had been the first thing he said but having exhausted all
    other options it is not such a bad idea to point out the last remianing
    option. Can Gentoo not borrow Debian binaries?
