If you have a Gnome version of AbiWord, use the Print
dialog to print as PDF. If you don't, Print to a
PostScript file, and then use ps2pdf from the command
line.

If you don't want to be bothered with this, upgrade to
AbiWord 2.4. You can save directly as PDF.
